Dr. Tadanori Tomita

Dr. Tadanori Tomitais a Professor and Vice Chairman of Neurosurgical Surgery at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He is also the Chairman of the Division of Pediatric Neurosurgery and the Director of the Falk Brain Tumor Center at Children’s Memorial Hospital as well as the Director of the Pediatric Neurosurgery Fellowship Program & International Pediatric Neurosurgery Fellowship Program
He is a full member of the Robert H. Lurie Cancer Center of Northwestern University and the Children’s Memorial Research Center (CMRC). He received his MD at Kobe University School of Medicine in Kobe, Japan. His areas of research include pediatric brain tumors, particularly ependymomas and brain stem tumors. He is currently involved in the NIH/NCI Pediatric Brain Tumor Consortium (PBTC), a multidisciplinary cooperative research organization devoted to the study of correlative tumor biology and new therapies for primary CNS tumors of childhood. He also holds the title of ISPN (International Society of Pediatric Neurosurgery) President Elect.
