Mr. Easter's 35 years of health care planning, hospital programming and architectural design experience have been diversified, including work with major medical centers, rural acute care hospitals, and a variety of specialty centers including oncology, psychiatric, retirement, long term care and rehabilitation. He is Senior Vice President, Principal and Director of Healthcare Planning for HFR Design, Brentwood, TN. Previously he was founder and President of EASTER & MASON Healthcare Consulting Corporation (EMhc), a Nashville, TN based company that specialized in hospital master planning, programming and project development (10 years). He was VP of Facility Planning and Development with Quorum Health Resources prior to starting EMhc and prior to that Director of Planning for MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Mr. Easter's experience represents all aspects of facility programming, planning and design for over 1,200 health-related projects worldwide. Those engagements range from numerous small, rural and Critical Access Hospitals (CAH) to major medical centers and specialty treatment centers worldwide. Work with the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, TX, Director of Planning for the University of Texas/MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX as well as three engagements with the Shriners Hospitals for Children and the AFNCI Pediatric Cancer Hospital in Cairo, Egypt (opened in 2007) to mention a few. Other experience includes hospital planning for DeKalb Medical, CHRISTUS Health, Mercy Hospital System, Akron General Medical Center, the Bon Secours Healthcare System, Novant and WellStar Systems.
